SEWERFest is the South East Wisconsin Exotic Reptile Fest, and this year we are celebrating our 10th YEAR OF SHOWS. To celebrate 10 years we will be adding a small Auction at the end of the show to raise money for a reptile organization. As always, there will be thousands of captive bred herps and tons of supplies. The show takes place in a heated/cooled banquet hall. Tables are 35$ and include lunch and beer. There is a cash bar for all.

Well, i just posted a thread on the exchange forum in hoes that someone can save my burm. But the question i have is, what do you do when there is no one that can help. I mean, any reptile "zoo" in my area cannot take them or will not take them. If there is no one what can i do??
Clearly, letting the animal loose is just out of the question and just sinical to even contemplate. I mean, being reasonable here and just trying to figure out anything i can do, would it be horrible to euthanise your snake? maybe have a taxidermist frame the skin? This may seem out of the question but i was wondering if anyone has ever considered the options past not be able to find your snake a good home. This idea came to me when i was watching a documentary on snakes in the wild in america and how the population of wild burmese pythons (especially in Florida) is outrageous and actually scary. I said to myself, before i put someones life in danger or put my snake in the wild, i would kill it myself and hang the skin up in the living room. Just to be clear, I love my snake and would do anything in my power to keep him and especially keep him alive. Please dont go crazy because i purposed euthanising a healthy animal. Thanks for reading. |
